Nearly four decades in hospitality — every role in the building, from cook and waiter to catering manager and chef-operator — now building the commerce infrastructure independent operators run on.
See the platforms →Aisle FLO began with an operator's complaint, not a business plan. After nearly four decades in hospitality — fine-dining rooms, high-volume catering, and counters of his own, having worked every role in the building from cook and waiter to catering manager and chef-operator — Florindo Caiella kept watching independent operators lose margin to systems they did not control: commissions they could not see, fees that moved without notice, and customer relationships that belonged to someone else's platform.
He founded Aisle FLO Inc. in Ottawa in 2020 to build the alternative. The company's platforms are built Canadian-first and owned by the operators who use them, from the ordering front end through settlement to the bank account.
That full-spectrum experience is the qualification that matters here. Software built by people who have never run a service tends to solve the problems that are easy to model and miss the ones that show up on a Friday night — a printer that will not fire, a substitution nobody recorded, a driver at the wrong door. Every platform in the estate is built by operators, for operators.
Aisle FLO Inc. operates a family of platforms spanning ordering, delivery, grocery commerce, and kitchen intelligence.
Commission-free digital ordering for restaurants and merchants — true menu prices, no gig-platform markup.
getflo.ca →Canada's hyperlocal grocery delivery platform. Any store, true shelf prices, community shoppers earning benchmark wages.
favecart.ca →Menu intelligence for independent operators — menu modernization, food costing, and culinary strategy from chef-operators.
inthekitchen.ca →The shopper-side application behind FaveCart — the people doing the picking and the delivery.
shopperservice.ca →Aisle FLO Inc. is a Canadian-owned, Ottawa-operated company.
The core — application and database — is self-hosted on Canadian infrastructure, not inside a US hyperscaler.
The estate is built around true shelf prices and true menu prices — no delivery-app markup, no hidden fees.
